Well how absolutely gorgeous is this!
A sandwich or cake plate in a rarely seen vivid royal blue, with a rose garland design around the rim, and a central rose bouquet motif. Heavy gilt work across the rims
A wonderful gift and a beautiful to way to display a whole host of treats at a dinner party - figs and grapes to accompany a cheeseboard, meringues and berries, profiteroles or even a Christmas pud!
No backstamp, but likely to be late Victorian. Very very slight wear to the ceramic, but not the design. Entirely commensurate with age and use.
Please see our other listings for other complementary items, including our floral garlands.
