These cakestand is, in our eyes, perfection! A pretty fluted base would make this dish a perfect cakestand for an afternoon tea, or an extremely decorative centrepiece for fruit during a cheese course.
The blue floral transferware pattern plays second fiddle to the fabulous gilt which has been thrown about the piece with gay abandon. Divine.
Made by John Maddock & Sons, circa 1900
Measures approx 22xm x 20cm x 8cm (h)
Great condition, no chips, fleabites or grazes.

We source all sorts of lovely vintage homewares on our travels across the UK and beyond. Because some of our items are very old, there may be some wear to the pattern – especially if there is any gilt in the design. We will endeavour to mention any wear and tear, minor chips, cracking in the glaze or indeed any other imperfections in the item description.
